One Ok Rock, reportedly one of the most famous rock bands in Japan and promising talents in Asia, will visit Peru for the first time ever in November, as part of their first Latin American tour.
The Japanese band comes to Peru after performing at the 2014 Vans Warped Tour, which took them across the United States.
Their show in the Peruvian capital is scheduled for November 4 at Embarcadero 41 convention center located in Barranco district.
Tickets have been on sale since August 15 at Tu Entrada booths in Plaza Vea and Vivanda supermarkets. Interbank card holders can get a 25% discount. Prices range from 100 soles to 250 soles (about US36 to US$90) including the said discount.
Formed in 2005, the group is composed of Takahiro Morita, Toru Yamashita, Ryota Kohama and Tomoya Kanki. Originally a five piece band, guitarist Alex left the group in 2009.
They fuse different music styles such as Rock, Emo, and Heavy Metal into their own, and their sound and frenetic live performance are supported by enthusiastic fans of the young generation.
To date, they have released six albums and had a number of their singles featured in video games and movies.
‘No Scared’ was the main theme for the PlayStation Portable titled ‘Black Rock Shooter: The Game’, whereas ‘The Beginning’ was used as the theme song for the live action movie adaptation of the Rurouni Kenshin manga, also known as ‘Samurai X’.
Likewise, the song ‘Nothing Helps’ was used for the Japanese version of the video game DmC: Devil May Cry.
