The Second National Collegiate Criminal Court on Wednesday resumed the oral trial against former President Alejandro Toledo (2001-2006) and others involved in the Caso Interoceanica (Southern Interoceanic Highway case).

The former president is prosecuted for the crime of collusion, for allegedly having received bribes from Brazilian construction company Odebrecht, executor of the Peru-Brazil Interoceanic Road Corridor project.

During today's session, Ambassador Manuel Rodriguez Cuadros —who served as minister during Toledo's government— was questioned as a witness.

On behalf of the Public Ministry, Lava Jato Case Special Prosecution Group member Jose Domingo Perez participated in the hearing.

Toledo's lawyer, Roberto Su, was also present at the virtual session.
