Peru has gone from receiving 9 million to more than 11 million doses of vaccines against COVID-19 to date, including the recent donation from the United States Government, Health Minister Oscar Ugarte reported on Thursday.

"Besides, more than 8 million doses of vaccines will be received, only during the month of July. Therefore, the vaccination goal can be expanded for the benefit of the population," he expressed.

Moreover, the Cabinet member reminded citizens that 19 Metropolitan Vaccination Centers have been set up for people who —due to work reasons— cannot attend venues close to their homes.

"Yet they must respect the scheduled dates," he said.

Remarks were made from the VacunaCar (Vaccination Drive-Thru) center in Lima's Magdalena district, where he supervised the immunization against COVID-19.
