Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea Franco has reaffirmed Peru's national commitment to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, whose Presidency was received by our country last November in San Francisco, United States.

"We are all APEC Peru 2024," the government official emphasized.

"During APEC 2024, thousands of foreigners will arrive (in Peru), concentrated in 5 cities, and many of them will make the most of their stay by discovering more wonderful natural, cultural, and gastronomic manifestations of our beloved country, a cradle of ancient civilizations," he pointed out.

Likewise, Foreign Affairs Minister Gonzalez-Olaechea underscored that we must welcome them with renowned Peruvian hospitality, in accordance with our tradition.

"We, believing and stubborn Peruvians who dream of a better Peru, are increasing; and we can become an immense majority, because great causes mobilize hearts and consciences," he expressed.

Ten meetings are expected to be held, which will involve Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Economy, Finance, Tourism, Food Security, Energy, Health, and Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises, until closing with the Leaders' Summit in November.

The thematic proposal for APEC 2024 is made up of three central axes:
(i) Trade and investment for inclusive and interconnected growth.
(ii) Innovation and digitalization to promote the transition to formal and global economy.
(iii) Sustainable growth for resilient development.
