Commercial flights between Lima and five destinations in Europe will resume starting today, December 15, after the Peruvian Government approved the restart of flights that are more than eight hours long.
First flights
According to Lima Airport Partners (LAP) —operating consortium of Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima— only one flight is due to land in Lima today: the KLM 743 flight from Amsterdam, which is slated to touch down at 7:05 p.m. (local time).
Additionally, three flights are scheduled to depart to Europe: The Air Europa 176 flight to Madrid (at 7:30 p.m.), the KLM 744 flight to Amsterdam (at 9:05 p.m.), and the Air France 483 flight to Paris (at 10:15 p.m.).
Biosafety protocols
It should be noted that certain criteria must be met by passengers embarking on international flights, such as using a face mask and face shield, having no symptoms of COVID-19, among other health protocols and prevention measures that can be found on the
LAP website.
International flights
Today —between 9:00 a.m. and 11:55 p.m.— 27 international flights are slated to take off from Jorge Chavez International Airport to Bogota, Santiago, Mexico City, Aguadilla, Panama, Bogota, Quito, Cancun, Guayaquil, Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and New York.
On the other hand, 22 international flights are scheduled to land —between 5:45 a.m. and 11:05 p.m.— from Miami, Punta Cana, Cancun, New York, Mexico City, Santiago, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Panama, Aguadilla, Amsterdam, Quito, Guayaquil, Bogota, and Fort Lauderdale.
At present, LATAM, Copa Airlines, KLM, Sky Airline, Spirit Airlines, ATSA Peru, Air Europa, Air France, Aerolineas Argentinas, and Aero Mexico are the airlines operating international flights at Jorge Chavez International Airport.
