Peruvian scientists working in Europe will gather in France and contribute to science development in Peru by building a European network composed of national researchers, the Foreign Affairs Ministry announced.

Thus, the 1st Meeting of Peruvian Scientists in Europe - SINAPSIS 2016 will take place in July 11th-13th at Paris Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP).

SINAPSIS aims to generate and strengthen national scientific networks in Europe and encourage strong ties with Peru's science community.

The said gathering will feature presentations, lectures and roundtables on topics related to physics, chemistry, medicine, material, biology, mathematic, engineering, computer and nanotechnology, among others.

Likewise, SINAPSIS will present research linked to Peruvian scientific diaspora in Europe.

Moreover, it will exhibit tools created by the Peruvian government to promote science through programs aimed at recruiting national and foreign scientists working abroad, as well as various instruments designed to provide funding to international collaborations.

Such event is sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, General Consulate of Peru in Paris and “Puya de Raimondi” Association.
