Ed Sheeran, one of the world’s biggest pop stars, has confirmed a major concert date in Peru’s capital city. The British singer-songwriter will perform on May 20, 2026, at Lima’s National Stadium, the country’s premier venue for large-scale events, as part of his new LOOP Tour.

This marks Sheeran’s first show in Peru since 2017, when his concerts sold out instantly and drew massive crowds across Latin America. The LOOP Tour introduces a redesigned immersive stage concept, signaling a fresh artistic direction following the close of his blockbuster Mathematics Tour, one of the most successful tours in music history.

Promoted locally by Move Concerts Perú, tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster.pe, starting at 144 soles —roughly US$42— with a 25% discount available for BBVA cardholders.

Sheeran continues to break industry records. His ÷ (Divide) Tour remains the highest-grossing tour of all time, pulling in more than US$875 million and nearly 9 million fans worldwide.

He also holds the record for the largest attendance (257,751 people) by a solo artist over four consecutive nights, set in 2018.

A New Creative Era

With more than 120 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Sheeran’s catalog of global hits —including Shape of You, Perfect, Thinking Out Loud, Photograph and Bad Habits— has cemented his status as a streaming powerhouse, and many of those songs are expected to be part of the Lima setlist.

His latest album, Play (released September 2025), marks a bold shift: tracks like Azizam, Camera, and A Little More blend Indian and Persian musical influences with his signature pop-folk sensibility. Critics have pointed to its emotional weight: the result of personal struggles, including the loss of close friends and a serious medical diagnosis affecting his wife.

Beyond music, Sheeran has intentionally stepped back from digital overload —famously living without a smartphone— and recently surprised fans by appearing in Spanish-language media, including a heartfelt interview on the Spanish program La Revuelta.
