Renowned U.S. model Cindy Crawford got familiar with Peruvian cuisine as she learned how to prepare ceviche —raw fish marinated in citrus juice and spices— under the guidance of famed Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio, during her stay in the Andean country.
On Monday, the supermodel visited Astrid & Gaston restaurant to learn Peruvian food’s secrets and try the best typical dishes.
As is known, the actress is in Peru to join the ceremony marking the inauguration of Peru's first Omega boutique, located in Lima's middle-upper-class Miraflores district.
Furthermore, the celebrity is Omega's longest-serving ambassador, and has been a partner of the exclusive watchmaker since 1995.
While in Peru, she has been joined by her long-time husband Rande Gerber and their two children Kaia and Presley.
They have been enjoying themselves in Amazonas region, taking in the wonders of the Peruvian tropical rainforest.
This is Crawford's second visit to the Inca nation, as she previously arrived in cities Cusco and Trujillo back in 2014.
