Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) on Friday maintained its
economic growth forecast for 2018 at 4%.
The financial entity says this expansion would be underpinned by a pickup in non-primary GDP (4.1%).
According to BCR Governor Julio Velarde, the sectors that expanded the most would be
fisheries (39.8%), primary
manufacture (13.9%),
farming (7.0%), and
construction (5.9%).
Velarde explained that Peru's GDP growth next year would be underpinned by an increase in
mining-hydrocarbon and construction sectors.
