Brazil’s President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, will make an official visit to Peru on Friday, December 11, as a response to President Garcia's invitation to review the main issues on the bilateral agenda.
Lula da Silva will lead an important business mission to participate in “Expo Brazil 2009” in Lima, in order to promote more trade and bilateral investments, and present cultural, tourism and gastronomy aspects from Brazil.
Expo Brazil aims to replicate the event successfully held by Peru in San Pablo on September, 2008, reported Peru’s Foreign Ministry.
As part of the visit, both presidents will monitor the progress and implementation of commitments and agreements reached at Peru-Brazil Border Summit, which took place on April 28 in Acre (Brazil).
They will be also signing agreements for the execution of projects and programs to create a border integrated zone -between the Brazilian states and Peruvian provinces- aimed at better economic and social integration between both nations.
