17:30 | Lima, Sep. 28.

Cristian Benavente, Yordy Reyna, and Paolo Hurtado have been called up for Peru's upcoming friendlies against Chile and the United States.

Both exhibition clashes will be played in the United States.

The game against Chile is scheduled for October 12 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Later, on October 16, Peru will play the U.S. national team at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field East Hartford, Connecticut.

Peru's head coach Ricardo Gareca also announced the return of midfielder Renato Tapia, who has gotten more minutes at Dutch club Feyenoord.

Next month's matches will see the return of another familiar face: Andy Polo. He was not called up for previous friendlies against the Netherlands and Germany.

October friendlies mark the third and fourth games of the Peruvian team after their World Cup participation.

As is known, the Netherlands claimed a 2-1 victory against Peru at Amsterdam-based Johan Cruyff Arena on September 6.

Three days later, Germany won 2-1 against the Incas in Sinsheim.
