BCR: Peru's exports totaled US$10.068 billion, up 33.4% in July 2026

08:38 | Lima, Sep. 15.

Total exports amounted to US$10.068 billion in July this year, a 33.4% increase compared with the same period in 2025, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported.

The issuing entity underscored that this result was mainly driven by the year-on-year increase in international prices of the main export products, particularly copper and gold.

These increases boosted the average export price by 23.2% year-on-year.

Higher oil and natural gas prices, associated with the conflict in Iran, also contributed.

So did the higher price of fishmeal, due to lower Peruvian supply on the global market, and lead, as a result of the silver content in its concentrate shipments, the BCR explained.

Volume

Export volume increased 8.3% year-on-year during this period, driven by higher shipments of gold, molybdenum, as well as copper and lead concentrates.

Higher non-traditional shipments of fishery and chemical products also contributed.

Cumulative exports rise

So far this year, exports totaled US$66.506 billion, a 36.9% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

The BCR highlighted that this growth was supported by higher prices and volumes, which increased by 33% and 29.3%, respectively.
