18:10 | La Paz (Bolivia), Aug. 17.

The fourth Peru-Bolivia Binational Cabinet will take place on September 3 in Cobija City, Bolivia.

Remarks were made on Friday by Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio during a meeting with Bolivian counterpart Fernando Huanacuni, within the framework of an official visit to said country.

"We've thoroughly reviewed the bilateral agenda because Presidents Martin Vizcarra and Evo Morales will meet on September 3," Minister Popolizio said at a joint press conference.

During the gathering, the Peruvian official was awarded the Grand Cross of the National Order of the Condor of the Andes.

Likewise, he —alongside Minister Huanacuni— participated in an extended meeting involving both countries to propose initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral relations.

The statesmen informed the delegations covered border and energy integration, the protection of Lake Titicaca, as well as the development of Ilo Port and the Interoceanic Railway.

The event was held at Bolivian Foreign Affairs Ministry Headquarters.

It must be noted Binational Cabinets constitute a mechanism for political dialogue between two nations with the purpose of working on specific issues of common concern included in the bilateral agenda.
