Nearly 20 people have been included in the raid and seizure operations being carried out by the Public Ministry in various Peruvian regions on Friday —within the framework of 'Los Niños' (the Children) case.

The operations began shortly before 6:00 a.m. (local time) —both at offices and properties belonging to the individuals under investigation.

18 of them are members of the Congress of the Republic. The operations also reached former Production Minister Jorge Luis Prado, who served in ousted ex-President Pedro Castillo's administration.

The Bloque Magisterial (Magisterial Bloc group) members who have been included in said raid and seizure operations are Francis Paredes, Pasion Davila, German Tacuri, Paul Gutierrez, Segundo Quiroz, and Edgar Tello.

Said parliamentary group was established following the split in Peru Libre (Free Peru party). Of the latter, Americo Gonza has been included in the operations.

In addition to Silvia Monteza, the Attorney General's Office has included four other Accion Popular legislators. These are Hilda Portero, Luis Aragon, Jose Arriola, and Edwin Martinez.

The list also includes Podemos Peru (We can Peru party) Congressman Carlos Zeballos, plus non-grouped legislators Katy Ugarte, Oscar Zea, and Enrique Alva.

The raid and seizure operations are carried out with the support of the National Police's High Complexity Investigations Division (Diviac) —both at the homes and offices of the aforementioned parliamentarians.

Said operations take place in Lima and in various Peruvian cities.
