stressed that vaccination against human papillomavirus constitutes a crucial measure to confront HPV, which affects adults, children, and young people in the country.
In that regard, the Head of State expressed his conviction that there is no better public policy in the health sector than prevention.
The top official recalled that, throughout human history, there has been a constant struggle against diseases, adding that hope in confronting them has always been rooted in medicine and prevention.
"That is why I want to reaffirm that we will not cease until we leave the Government Palace, in accordance with the constitutional mandate, but rather continue investing a significant amount of the budget in this vaccine," he stated.
In addition, President Balcazar called on parents to cooperate in ensuring that children receive vaccination.
"We will invest more in prevention than in treatment. We will remain here to continue investing more and more in medicine and healthcare," he pointed out.
The ceremony took place at the Meliton Carvajal School in Lima, with the participation of State ministers.
