U.S. Secretary of State to visit Peru

U.S. Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson will pay an official visit to Peru on February 5-6, the Inca country's Foreign Affairs Ministry informed.

In this sense, the high-ranking American official will be received in audience by Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

Likewise, he will hold a working meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister Cayetana Aljovin, with whom he will discuss bilateral relations.

At said gathering, the Summit of the Americas —to be held in Lima on April 13-14— will also be addressed.

Last November, the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry told reporters in Washington D.C. that Tillerson had accepted the invitation to visit the Inca country as part of his trip to the region.

It must be noted this will be Tillerson's first Latin American tour and will take place one year after he became the U.S. Government's leading diplomat.
