Dialogue with opposition party leader Keiko Fujimori placed the interests of Peru ahead of other interests, President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski affirmed.

Peru's top official explained the meeting was quite positive, with parties clearly expressing their points of view.

Likewise, dialogue called for efforts to continue fight against corruption and maintain the presence of State ministers in the Reconstruction with Changes process.

The over two-hour gathering took place at Lima-based Government Palace, where former presidential candidate Fujimori arrived accompanied by ex-running mate Jose Chlimper.

After the audience —the second one between the two political leaders— Peru's Head of State affirmed dialogue will bear fruits in the coming future.

On the other hand, former presidential candidate Fujimori expressed optimism about the meeting's results.

She said talk showed coincidences and disagreements, describing it as "sincere."

It must be noted both Mr. Kuczynski and Mrs. Fujimori met in Lima last December.
