The audience —in which Paolo Guerrero exercised his defense before the FIFA Disciplinary Committee— took place in Zurich on Thursday.

The meeting lasted more than four hours. At the hearing, it was ruled out that the Peruvian national soccer team captain had used cocaine.

It was also reported that the FIFA announcement on the case is expected for Monday.

The striker defended himself before FIFA in response to the adverse analytical result of the anti-doping test conducted on him following a goalless draw against Argentina at the South American Qualifiers on October 5.

He was supported by his lawyers and a biochemist.

The Peruvian star's defense had the task of demonstrating —with evidence— that he had never used cocaine or coca tea (both banned by FIFA) but drank a contaminated tea.

As is known, Guerrero intends to lead the Peruvian team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, after the Inca team's qualifying victory against New Zealand on November 15.
