Peruvian Soccer Federation (FPF) and the sportswear company Umbro released on Monday the jersey Peru will be wearing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The new shirt features golden details along the traditional red stripe on the chest. It is pretty similar to the previous design worn by the national athletes during the
South American Qualifiers.
The event was presided over by Peruvian Soccer Federation President Edwin Oviedo, who said he was honored to unveil the new national team's sportswear after a
36-year wait for a World Cup appearance.
The ceremony saw the participation of national players
Adrian Zela, Aldo Corzo and Jose Carvallo, who attended on behalf of the entire team.
An emotional video was shown during the launch. It featured Peruvian Edison Flores and Renato Tapia receiving the new jersey in the countries they play for and inviting fans to support the national team in the 2018 World Cup.
As is known, the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia will take place on June 14-July 15 next year.
