President Martin Vizcarra on Friday expressed his deepest sympathy over the recent death of femicide victim Eyvi Agreda, who was set on fire inside a public transport bus last April.
"This young woman was viciously attacked by a person who certainly has no forgiveness. We feel extremely saddened," the statesman expressed.
The 22-year-old victim passed away this morning at Lima-based Guillermo Almenara Hospital.
She had been attacked by Carlos Hualpa, who currently serves a 9-month preventive detention at Ancon I Prison.
It must be noted Agreda underwent more than 15 surgeries to treat the burns, which covered 60% of her body.
