President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday arrived at Lima-based Guillermo Almenara Hospital to monitor the health status of Eyvi Agreda, a young woman who was set on fire inside a public transport bus.
The Head of State talked with the victim's relatives and expressed his full support for the recovery of Agreda, who has already undergone four surgeries.
Joined by Health Ministry Silvia Pessah, the Peruvian leader also greeted State-run Social Health Insurance Institution (EsSalud) workers on the occasion of Labor Day.
According to Essalud, the female citizen is likely to be operated —for the fifth time— tomorrow.
As is known, Carlos Hualpa attacked Agreda spraying her with gas before lighting her on fire a week ago.
It must be noted, the aggressor —on Monday— was confined to Ancon I high-security prison, where he will serve a nine-month preventive detention for the alleged crime of
attempted femicide.
