Peru national squad to show off elegant attire at World Cup

13:00 | Lima, May. 28.

National soccer team players want to give a good impression as Peru makes its return to the World Cup —after 36 years— by taking their elegant play outside the field.

For this reason, coach Gareca's men will show off a new attire during their journeys as part of this tournament.

The 24 players building the roster of the preliminary squad took part in a photo session at a pre-game meeting held in Lima's San Isidro district.

During the session, the Incas dressed in the gala suits they will be wearing during the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world.

After the photo shoot, Peruvian players posted their pictures on social media.

It must be noted the clothing stands out for its elegant and tailored style.

As is known, the national soccer team is slated to leave for Europe on May 30, the day following the friendly match against Scotland at Lima's National Stadium.

Said game will be the team's official goodbye to Peruvian fans before they travel to play their last two friendlies against Saudi Arabia (June 3) and Sweden (June 9).
