President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski said he expects Peru's national soccer team to win its two last FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Coached by Argentinean Ricardo Gareca, the red-white will play against Argentina and Colombia on October 5 and 10, respectively.

Even though Peru's top official refrained from making final score predictions, he expects the Peruvian squad to earn a ticket for Russia 2018 World Cup.

"Peru-Argentina match is clearly going to be difficult. I hope we can win the last two games. We have to qualify for the World Cup," the statesman commented.

It must be noted tickets for Peru-Colombia match —at Lima-based National Stadium— sold out after two hours they went on sale.

As is known, the Incas currently rank twelfth in the latest FIFA world ranking, surpassing Gales, England, Uruguay, Italy, Croatia, Sweden, and Turkey, among others.

The national team's new position has been attributed to its recent triumphs against Bolivia and Ecuador
