13:55 | Lima, May. 18.

Peru's national soccer team on Friday held a new training session prior to the upcoming friendly match against Scotland.

The sporting event kicked off at 8:00 AM (local time) at Lima-based National Sports Village (Videna).

On this occasion, athletes worked out at the gym and on the field.

The Peru-Scotland game will take place on May 29 at Lima's National Stadium at 8:00 PM (local time).

It must be noted the red-white will also face Saudi Arabia and Sweden next June as preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

Last Wednesday, Peruvian Soccer Federation (FPF) announced its preliminary list of 24 players expected to participate in soccer's mega event.

Unfortunately, captain and top striker Paolo Guerrero was not included in the draft as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) increased a ban against him from 6 to 14 months.
