Since 2017, Peru's Government has transferred S/3.732 billion (about US$1.144 billion) for 268 projects addressed at Executive Branch and Regional Governors Meetings (GORE-Executive), Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz informed Thursday.
"Between 2017 and 2018, S/3.732 billion has been transferred for 268 projects discussed at these gatherings […]," the minister expressed.
During the 7th GORE-Executive meeting, Araoz underlined that 493 projects rely on technical files and a committed investment worth S/26.842 billion (US$8.231 billion).
"Unlocking these projects means stability and governability, which are essential requirements for achieving development," she affirmed.
Likewise, the also Second Vice-President noted said gatherings prove that equitable dialogue and accountability provide changes and are key aspects.
"GORE-Executive is the meeting that allows us to move quickly and be attentive
to the people's needs," Araoz added.
The 7th GORE-Executive, which features Peruvian ministers and regional governors, kicked off on Thursday at 27 de Enero Convention Center in Lima's San Borja district.
