Peru: Gamarra emporium dressed in red-white ahead of 2018 World Cup

16:33 | Lima, May. 29.

Returning to a World Cup after 36 years has not only raised the self-esteem and good mood of Peruvians. It has also boosted the reactivation of Gamarra textile outlet's economy, but above all of its creativity.

Joining the World Cup tournament and the feeling of support for our national team —by wearing red-white clothes— is possible in Gamarra without the need to speed much money for said purpose.

If you take a walk around the Gamarra emporium to catch up with the World Cup environment and express your support for the Inca squad, you will be able to find all products in patriotic colors.

T-shirts, headbands, caps, visors, banners, underwear, ties, towels, key chains, and bathing robes —in addition to the classic red-white jerseys— can be purchased at reasonable prices.

The t-shirts feature a variety of slogans. Some of them display the national Coat of Arms, others the numbers and last names of our soccer players.

"Because I believe in you," "We are all Peru," "We are going to Russia," "Let's continue making history" can be read on some of the garments, which are given to the customers in bags —also in red-white featuring the number 9 and the face of the great captain Paolo Guerrero printed on them.

Gamarra is Lima's largest textile outlet, where thousands of people flock to buy clothing items for their families at affordable prices. Its stores open seven days a week.
