Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros reiterated on Tuesday the country's goal of luring 4.4 million international tourists in 2018.
Foreign tourist arrivals are likely to generate tourism-related revenues worth more than US$4.940 billion in that year.
Speaking at Parliament, he said the country's tourism promotion was strengthened in a sustained manner in 22 key foreign markets across North America, Europe,
Asia and Oceania.
"The 2018 goal is to grow 9% to more than 4.4 million
foreign tourists," Ferreyros underlined
Peru's tourism promotion overseas included conventional methods and put emphasis on digital tools.
Tourist spots were promoted through partnerships with major tour operators and covered by leading international media.
Also, the country took part in 14
international fairs and 22 business rounds, bringing over 300 Peruvian tour operators together.
