Peruvian entrepreneurs will showcase the best of Cusco's agro-industrial and artisanal production in Moscow, Russia during the FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15.
The products will be on show at
Casa Peru (Peru House) —a platform designed to promote the Inca country's
exportable offer in Russia— featured at Manege Exhibition Center near Moscow's Red Square.
The expedition is organized by the Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex), Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur), and the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru).
The goods left Callao last weekend for Saint Petersburg, before being held in the aforementioned exhibition hall where Russians and tourists are set to stop by.
A recent list shows that the most demanded products in North America and Europe are
coffee (
arabic, roasted, ground, and blend ground),
kiwicha,
quinoa, cañihua, fava beans (green,
quelcao,
peruanita, and peeled), as well as corn (purple, Chullpi, Pescoruntu, Cancha, Sacsa, and Mote).
Other products include
pure paste of Chuncho
cacao, different types of chocolates, freeze-dried potatoes, dehydrated rocoto peppers, dehydrated
huacatay, dehydrated
aguaymanto, Manu-grown dehydrated bananas and pink salt.
Attendees will also have the chance to see the Andean Trinity exhibit featuring condor, puma (mountain lion), and snake figures carved in wood.
"We use the
World Cup tournament as a showcase to promote our tourism and foreign trade," Cusco's Foreign Trade Director Victor Hugo Perez told Andina news agency.
