Peru's construction sector may have expanded 13.9% last October, meaning the highest rate in recent quarters, Housing, Construction and Sanitation Minister Carlos Bruce estimated.
Likewise, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics' (INEI) figures show the official rate will be higher than 10%.
"The growth we might have registered in October (13.9%) […] is a sign that the
construction sector has started to
recover, just as the economy in general terms, and that is good news," he expressed.
Remarks were made during a forum organized by private-run Peruvian Chamber of Construction (Capeco).
