Peru is perceived as a country that relies on clear rules for mining investment, Energy and Mines Minister Angela Grossheim pointed out on Monday.

As is known, Grossheim currently participates in the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC 2018 Convention) held in Toronto.

"We have held several meetings, and no entrepreneur has shown worries about it; on the contrary, they think Peru has clear rules and that we are working hard for the sector," she told RPP radio and TV news station.

According to the official, mining entrepreneurs "are so eager" to keep investing in the country, not only in exploitation activities but also in exploration.

Peruvian Delegation

It must be noted Grossheim on Sunday opened the Peruvian Stand at the PDAC 2018 Convention, one of the most important events in the mining exploration sector on a global scale.

This pavilion presents Peru's geological potential, as well as technological tools to show the Inca nation's wealth.

In this sense, the Peruvian Stand features an interactive space, which shows the competitive advantages that make the Andean country one of the best destinations for mining investment.

At this event, the Energy and Mines Ministry will also offer useful materials for investors.

In addition, the national delegation will be promoting the country's main mining promotion policies, based on an approach that simplifies administrative procedures, reduces social conflicts, and implements development projects in mines' influence areas.

The PDAC 2018 Convention kicked off on Sunday and will run thru March 7.
