00:00 | Toronto (Canada), Mar. 5.
Peru's Energy and Mines Minister Angela Grossheim opened the Peruvian Stand at the 2018 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention —one of the most important conventions in the mining exploration sector on a global scale.
Peru participates as the event's country sponsor for fifth consecutive year.
"Peru's participation at PDAC 2018 kicks off today, and we do so with the most representative delegation in the last 20 years," Grossheim underlined on Sunday.
"It is an honor that the Vice-President of the Republic and current
Ambassador [to Canada] Martin Vizcarra leads the group of officials attending this meeting to strengthen Peru's presence in the global mining scene," the minister added.
Likewise, she noted the stand will display the geological potential and technological tools offered to investors in order to facilitate awareness of Peruvian territory's wealth.
Interactive space
For this edition, the Peruvian Stand features an interactive space with entrepreneurs from 130 countries and competitive advantages that turn the Andean country into one of the best destinations for mining investment.
Peru will reinforce its relationship with Canada by sponsoring this convention from March 4 to 7 in Toronto.
The Inca delegation is composed of more than 300 members and led by Peruvian Ambassador to Canada Martin Vizcarra.
It must be noted Peru is one of the North American country's key partners in the continent.
Likewise, it is currently Canada's third-largest trading partner in South and Central
America, and the third regional
destination for Canadian direct investments.
PDAC 2018 Convention
PDAC is one of the most important conventions in the mining exploration sector on a global scale, whose relevance lies in being the main international platform to promote discussion, exhibition, and analysis of
mining projects from different parts around the globe.
