Economy and Finance Ministry (MEF) on Tuesday pointed out the economic recovery witnessed last March shows Peru's GDP is growing —again— and at an accelerated rate.
Via Twitter, MEF affirmed national GDP expanded 1.32% last December, 2.81% (January), 2.86% (February), and
3.93% (March), which reflects an upward trend.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), March's result marked 104 months of consecutive growth.
"From the first day (in office), we issued a set of measures to facilitate public and private investment, which total S/60 billion (about US$18.40 billion) and account for close to 8% of GDP," the minister expressed.
He added there are many more initiatives aimed at promoting the functioning of sectors, as well as
creating jobs in specific and critical segments.
