Peru Fin Min says economy to grow 3.6% in 2018

Peru's GDP is expected to post a gain of 3.6% this year, a figure that will be available in the next Multiannual Macroeconomic Framework, Economy and Finance Minister David Tuesta said Thursday.

"We expect a 3.6% increase this year, which is the figure that the next Multiannual Macroeconomic Framework will give in the upcoming days," he said.

With this number (3.6%), Peruvian economy is projected to grow more rapidly than in 2017 (2.5%).


Via Twitter, the government official stated that the aim is to achieve GDP growth of 5% by 2021.
