Peru's total exports expanded 7.40% in October 2017 from the same month last year, underpinned by higher shipments of traditional (8.69%) and non-traditional (4.07%) products, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) reported.
Nevertheless, fishery and agricultural exports saw a decline.
However, shipments of fishery products decreased.
Consumer goods
According to information released on November 26, consumer goods imports climbed 15.65% in October of the current year.
These were followed by imports of
raw materials and intermediate products (11.59%), as well as capital goods and construction materials (2.02%).
Government spending
Likewise, INEI informed Government spending and consumption rose 21.99% and 15.20% —respectively— in the analyzed month over the same period the year before.
