Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Friday expressed solidarity with Mexico after a high magnitude earthquake shook the country late Sep. 7, 2017.

Via Twitter, the statesman said Peruvians stand in solidarity with the people of Mexico and are on the lookout for their needs, ready to help.

"We share our strength and courage to overcome this situation," reads his tweet.

Southern Mexico was hit by a deadly earthquake of 8.2 magnitude just before midnight on Thursday.

The powerful event has killed at least 32 people in what Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto called the quake-prone country's biggest one in a century.
