French President Emmanuel Macron will welcome Peruvian counterpart Pedro Pablo Kuczynski within the framework of his coming visit to France.

As is known, Peru's top official will travel to Paris with the purpose of participating in the OECD's International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean.

In this context, French Ambassador to Lima Fabrice Mauriès highlighted Mr. Kuczynski's trip takes place at a moment of good relations between both nations.

"It [trip] occurs at a particular moment, since this visit will represent the first meeting between the two leaders," he told Andina news agency.

The French official recalled the Head of State had not visited the European Union after taking office on July 28th, 2016.

Thus, France is proud the Peruvian leader has chosen it as his first European destination.

"I would like to emphasize that Kuczynski will be the first Latin American President to meet with Macron [...]," he added.
