Peruvians got adequate jobs between February and April this year

A total of 67,300 people went from underemployment to having a proper job in the last quarter (February, March and April), the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) affirmed.
Thus, adequate employment grew by 2.3% during the last quarter in comparison with the same period last year, which means 70,000 people (4%) were taken out of underemployment.

Adequately employed
The adequately employed population in Lima amounts 2,968,800 people. It represents the 59.4% of the labor force, considering Lima's such employed population is composed of 4,656,500 inhabitants.

Female population
The adequate employment for this group of people rose by 49,100 positions, whereas the male population rose by 18,200 compared to the same quarter in 2014.

65.3% of the population adequately employed are: men (1,939,200) and 34.7% are women (1,029,600).

Self-employed people
The adequately employed population, that is self-employed, rose by 3.5% (30,500 people). Meanwhile, the rate of dependent workers increased by 1.8% (36,700 people).
