President of Peruvian Nationalist Party Nadine Heredia Alarcon met with Secretary-General of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Yin Hong to discuss the importance of ruling parties’ support for their governments and the coincidences concerning development of their countries.
The meeting took place on sidelines of Heredia’s visit to the People’s Republic of China.
Heredia indicated the Nationalist Party truly values the relationship Peru has with China, a country that has currently become a strategic trading partner.
She went on to add Peru has a stable and growing economy, which is one of the most thriving in Latin America with the National Plan for Productive Diversification as one of its pillars.
In this context, she believes the support of Peru’s strategic partners such as China would be crucial.
Yin Hong, in turn, referred to the important natural wealth of Peru, as well as its historic past, while highlighting the positive momentum in his economy despite the ups and downs of the international market.
He also said Peru is geographically distant from China, but highly rated by many Shanghai locals.
Heredia Alarcon noted the objective of boosting relations between the Nationalist Party and the Communist Party and stressed the importance to strengthen historic cooperation between Peru and China, which is at the best level.
They both recalled that 2016 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and China.
