Peru.travel has been nominated for the 21st annual World Travel Awards (WTA) in the category of World's Leading Tourist Board 2014, announced the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and head of the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board of Peru (Promperu), Magali Silva.
“The WTA are seen as the Oscars of the tourism industry, so those that receive this award position their product in the top-level segment worldwide and, at the same time, they are considered as a reference for other boards. That is why we are honored to be nominated in this category,” she said.
The Mincetur’s head highlighted that Peru.travel is available in several languages such as English, Portuguese, Italian, French, German and Japanese. The website, re-launched by Promperu, is intended to position the country at the top of Web search engines in the world such as Google, Yahoo and Bing.
On this site, people can find the most complete guide for vacations in Peru, with the main destinations, attractions, activities, offers, and more.
The
voting for the World's Leading Tourist Board category of the World Travel Awards opened on 24 Sep 2014 and continues through October 26. This time, Morocco will receive the WTA World ceremony.
On November 29th this year the showcase Grand Final will head to the Palais de Congres, part of the exclusive Palmerais Golf Palace, in the country’s pre-eminent tourism destination of Marrakech.
