Peruvian businessmen engaged in the footwear sector are set to meet their Brazilian counterparts at the Expo Detalles fair taking place in the Peruvian capital on August 19-22, the SME Chamber of Arequipa said on Tuesday.
According to the business organization, entrepreneurs from Arequipa and Trujillo will showcase their products and hold business roundtables with 23 Brazilian companies during the four-day event.
Likewise, a technical symposium will be carried out as part of the fair, where companies from the South America's largest country will provide conferences aimed at introducing local market innovative techniques, products, processes and innovations in the footwear sector.
Peruvian companies participating at the event are eager to know more about the techniques, design and fashion trends used by Brazilian footwear companies as well as to improve their competitiveness in national and international markets.
The Chamber pointed out the event seeks to promote leather footwear production inspired by the latest fashions and trends and, thus, curb imports of shoddy Chinese footwear sold at low prices throughout the Andean nation.
