About 12,000 people will take part in the Great Military Parade of Peru in the presence of Peruvian President Ollanta Humala and State ministers since 10 a.m. on Brasil Ave. Lima, Peru.

Defense Ministry Director of Public Relations and Protocol Nestor Navarro explained that due to the increased number of participants this year, the activity has been extended for 30 minutes, that is, it will last three hours in total.

Stands are ready to seat authorities and public in general, so that they can appreciate the parade along Brasil Ave. connecting Jesus Maria and Pueblo Libre districts.

In total, 100 structures have been set up along 23 blocks. Six of the stands have been reserved for authorities, two for the press, and the rest for about 35,000 spectators, who were advised not to bring their cars and to stick a post–it note with their names on their kids’ clothes in case they get lost.

According to Navarro, Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, and Ecuador military delegations will be the first to march.

This first group will also include representatives from civil institutions such as universities, the National Penitentiary Institute, Lima’s Public Safety Department, neighborhood committees, Beca 18 Porgram, the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru and Self-Defense Committees.

After that, people will be able to see the marching of the Navy, Air Force, Army and National Police.

Armed Forces cavalry will come next followed by the motorized units.

Air units will be present at the parade, too. They will make an appearance over the area only if weather conditions are adequate.
