Peru: Imports up 10.3% in 2025 due to intermediate and capital goods

By the end of 2025, Peruvian imports totaled US$60.737 billion, posting a 10.3% increase compared with 2024. This result reflects the dynamism of foreign trade and stronger economic activity throughout the year, the Lima Chamber of Commerce's (CCL) Foreign Trade Center (CCEX) reported on Friday.

Peru: Interior Minister will travel to Trujillo to assess new measures against insecurity

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Friday announced that Interior Minister Vicente Tiburcio will travel to La Libertad region this weekend to assess the security situation and define new approaches to the control strategy, in response to the criminal incidents reported in the northern jurisdiction.
