Furthermore, the President pointed out the importance of crafting a risk map so that Peru is better prepared when managing eventual natural disasters.
"We are going through a health crisis, as well as economic and social crises. For our part, the doors of the presidential office will always be open to continue directing these efforts," he added.
"In these bilateral spaces with the United States, which is a historical partner, we hope that —coming out of the pandemic— we will sit down to talk to address urgent issues such as education and health," Mr. Castillo expressed.
"For us, the pandemic-related problem is not simply linked to health issues; it is a historical problem that brings poverty, inequality, abandonment, orphanhood, and that we must attack categorically," he concluded.
