The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday stressed that the Peruvian economy will register a "tremendous rebound" in 2021 with a growth rate close to 10%, after the suffering impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

"Next year, as supported by the (Economy) Minister, we will see an economic growth of about 10%; just as we fell this year, there will be a tremendous rebound in the economy the next one," he stressed.

Likewise, the Head of State mentioned that once the next government takes office in July 2021, the South American country will be on the path of progress and development thanks to the measures adopted by his administration.

"We are going to leave a country headed for progress and development due to the measures we have taken; (by the Independence Bicentennial), we are going to responsibly leave a country on the right path towards the future," he noted.
