Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Monday affirmed that the country needs stability, economic revival and job creation, in the context of the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Head of State, Peru requires stability, certainty and order amid one of the worst health crises in history, with economic and social consequences.

In this respect, he regretted that some people are trying to create chaos and instability to serve personal interests at a time when the country faces a difficult situation amid this pandemic by struggling for health, for an improved economy, and for better social indicators.

"We need to continue to fight the pandemic, promote economic revival, create jobs and improve the living conditions of all Peruvians," he said.

Additionally, the Peruvian leader noted that COVID-19 figures have gone down in recent weeks.

"Once again, I reaffirm my commitment to continue doing my best to emerge from this crisis during the months left before my term ends," he stressed.
