President Martin Vizcarra on Monday attended the ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of Peru's Air Force (FAP) foundation.
Said institution ensures the defense of airspace and provides assistance to the Inca country's citizens in case of emergency.
On January 28, 1919, a Supreme Decree created the Military Aviation Service during President Jose Pardo y Barreda's term in office.
This Law established the guidelines for the organization and operation of this force, such as its organization structure, as well as the acquisition and assignation of aircraft, buildings, and educational centers.
On this occasion, President Vizcarra was joined by Ministers Cesar Villanueva (Prime) and Jose Huerta (Defense), among other authorities.
