The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday underscored the historic ties that unite Peru and Ecuador, which allows the development and integration of both brother nations to be decisively boosted.

At the event, Mrs. Boluarte indicated that both nations work to solve common problems, thus making various advances.

"Peru and Ecuador are united by the historic friendship ties that are built on the basis of common principles, values, and interests," she stated during the ceremony.

Within this framework, the president underscored that the Ecuadorian Government "has worked with Peru responsibly and with conviction so that our countries continue strengthening the community of interests that unite us in favor of integration of the well-being and development of our nations."

In this sense, Mrs. Boluarte mentioned the coordinated work by both nations to "ensure the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of our seas by generating common international policies and actions," as well as to combat various crimes such as illegal mining.

"We work together to strengthen the development of our border through the Peru-Ecuador Border Region Binational Development Plan, the extension of which has also been signed today," she reaffirmed.

Moreover, President Boluarte thanked her counterpart for the gesture of solidarity as was including 51 Peruvian residents in Israel on the humanitarian flight sent from Ecuador to Tel Aviv to evacuate citizens.
