The
on Wednesday received authorities from Tacna Regional Government and participated in a cultural ceremony held within the framework of the 93rd anniversary of Tacna's reincorporation into Peru.
On August 28, 1929, after the signing of the Treaty of Lima, the reincorporation of Tacna to Peru was achieved once the aforementioned province was returned by Chile after half a century of occupation following the Pacific War.
On this occasion, typical dances from that southern region were also presented. In addition, musical bands performed at the event.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the celebrations had been held remotely for two years.
However, this time the presentation and promotion of typical dances took place at the Government Palace's Courtyard of Honor in Lima.
