President Kuczynski attends Peru forum in Spain

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Monday took part in the forum "El Peru del Futuro" (Peru of the Future) exploring challenges and opportunities facing the South American nation.

The event was held by El Pais newspaper and Prisa Group, as well as sponsored by Enagas, Iberia, Repsol and Telefonica.

Peru of the Future saw the presence of El Pais editor-in-chief Antonio Cano, who delivered the welcome address, and Prisa CEO Juan Luis Cebrian.

The event also featured Finance Ministers Luis de Guindos (Spain) and Alfredo Thorne (Peru), State Secretary for International Cooperation Fernando Garcia Casas (Spain) and Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna (Peru).

Key growth sectors were addressed by business leaders: Director of Public Affairs Global Strategy at Telefonica Trinidad Jimenez, Executive Managing Director of Downstream Business Maria Victoria Zingoni and Enagas Chairman Antonio Llarden.

In his speech, President Kuczynski claimed Peru is a country of opportunities, growth and social change.
