Peruvian President Alan Garcia will announce a new Cabinet Tuesday after accepting the resignation of Prime Minister Javier Velasquez.
President Garcia said Sunday he had accepted the resignation of Velasquez Quesquen and all his staff and will announce a new cabinet on Tuesday.
Although he did not mention the reason for the reshuffle, many of the ministers have expressed their wishes of running for the general elections scheduled for April 2011.
Velasquez Quesquen told local radio station RPP on Monday that he wanted to win the presidential nomination for the ruling Aprista Party of Peru, Xinhua reported.
